On November 17, 2001, Howard University's Department of Journalism launched its online news and information source BlackCollegeView.com. This website provides young college journalists from Historically Black Colleges and Universities across the nation a forum to report the news from their perspective. The African American collegiate voice will finally be heard in a unique way. These youthful purveyors of news and information report on Education, Health, Business, Government and Politics, Religion, Arts and Entertainment, and Sports. BlackCollegeView.com is a product of Howard University's converged media lab. The C-lab is a student - faculty - industry collaborative laboratory where media products are created, distributed, and promoted for local, national, and global audiences. BlackCollegeView.com serves as the anchor project for the converged lab.
